Very poor reliability. There is built in latency; every mouse click must go up 25, 000 miles to the satellite, then down to the ground station, before it's on its way on the Internet. That's an issue of physics - not a fault of Hughesnet. However, the number of instances of DNS failures, failures to connects, "this website not available, " and similar technical network errors, which you would normally not assume were a problem of the ISP, are enormous.
