I recently bought tickets to two ballet performances. The first one started half an hour late, but even so, there was constant interruption throughout the overture and first act as latecomers were brought in one at a time and seated - not a few, but literally dozens of people. Obviously they were selling tickets well beyond the curtain raise. The director promised the audience it wouldn't happen again, but, at the second concert, yes it did!
