I recently put in a claim to Chase under the Chase Purchase Protection benefit. This was declined because I used a $25 gift card toward the purchase and Chase claims somewhere in its ridiculous fine print that the entire purchase charge needs to be covered by the credit card. I did not request full reimbursement, only the amount charged on the card. Nonetheless, they disqualified this benefit. Just another loophole. I have been a customer of Chase for over 30 years and apparently they would rather lose a valuable customer than cover a $200 claim. Shame Shame Shame! read full review »
