I was struggling with my ARM mortgage last fall as I was laid off by Bank of America and unable to find employment. I was sent an offer by Countrywide to modify my loan at a much lower interest rate effective September 1, 2008. I eagerly agreed and accepted the offer. I was then able to keep my home and would hopefully be able to refinance at a later date.
