My Parents (above 70 years) bought a whirlpool air conditioner in 2009. When company engineers they came for installation they suggested them to sign for a service contract for three years. For one year there was no complaint but second year it started showing some issues, service center was contacted but no service. For past four days I spend with them and trying to reach customer service, surprisingly same response, they do pick up the phone but reply is same, some one will attend asap.
