We had Direct T.V. for years and decided that AT&T Uverse was a better deal. On 1/26/09 we called and cancelled our service. I just found out that Direct TV withdrew $456 from our checking account without any advance notice for a past due bill and the equipment that we still have. Please mind you that we JUST received the box to send the equipment back 3 days prior to them taking our money. We called Direct TV to complain and they stated it was in our "contract".
