Metlife is the worse company I have ever dealt with. I have disability insurance with them though work. I got acutely ill in Oct 2010. I was hosipitalized in Novemeber 2010 for 5 days. I was hosipitalized in December 6 2010 for another 5 days and on December 17th I had a colomstomy. In mid Feburary (another surgery) my surgeon reversed the colostomy. At that point I applied for my long term with Metlife. I filled out a packet and faxed it in. Keep in mind I had used up my short term which was with a different company.
