On Facebook, one Sunday at the end of January, I saw yet another ad for Acai Berry diet supplements. Like so many others before me, I clicked on the link - read the blurb - fell for it and decided to take advantage of the 'free trial' at a postage & packing cost of £2.88. Within 5 mins of making the purchase, the Anti-Fraud desk at HSBC Bank called me to 'alert me to unusual account activity'.
