As with any retail establishment, Carls was very quick to take my money. I paid by check. However, within 2 days, I decided to cancel the order, and rethink how I wanted to furnish. The furniture was not a special order; it was sitting in their local warehouse. It never left the warehouse. However, on the back of the receipt, in very fine print, was a notice that even my salesman wasn't aware of: if you pay by cash or check, it will take from 2 to 4 weeks to receive a refund. I placed an order for 2 boxed DVD sets, one of the Three Stooges, one of Carol Burnette & Friends. I received a confirmatory email that I had purchased "Hack" for the same amount. I emailed back that Hack was incorrect. I never received a response, but I did receive Hack in the mail. I emailed them again, with no response. My credit card gave me a chargeback, and I tossed Hack out without seeing if it actually played. read full review »
