INOVA, a major for profit hospital corporation in Northern Verginia, runs a number of curbside clinics they call "emergency care centers". From the outside this facility looks just like an urgent care. These facilities have trained ER doctors and nurses but do not have the OR's and other equipment of a full service ER. If you have a serious condition they will perform triage and send you by ambulance to their "real" ER.
