My wife and I live in FL where the housing took a huge nose dive in 2008. We bought in 2006 at 220K using Flagstar. Even though our loan was fixed our payments kept rising. We submitted for a loan re mod because of paycuts and job slow down. We went through hoops and jumps and were just about to get qualified when our loan was suddenly sold to Nationstar. Nationstar said they saw no process of re mod and that we would have to start over.
