Three years ago I purchased my first Xbox 360 as a Christmas gift for my son. Less than a year later, his system got what is infamously known as the "three rings of death". Still under warranty, I returned it to the place of purchase and received another one. A few days ago, it happened again and all my son wanted for Christmas was Xbox 360 games. This makes 3 Xbox 360's in 3 years. As big as Microsoft is, they should be able to design a system that has a longer shelf life than 11 months.
