Against Friends' advice, we ordered the FIOS service. Right from the first month of billing, we noticed we were getting additional charges on our invoices for things that we did not have in our contract. Some Verizon reps took care of their “seemingly” errors immediately but some others put us through hell until the issue was resolved. I am guessing this is a source of extra income for Verizon.
