When I bought my house in February 2009, I purchased LG appliances. Specifically I purchased an electric range, a microwave and a refrigerator. The refrigerator had a Kenmore Elite label but was actually manufactured by LG. The control panel on all three appliances were defective. The warranty covered the repairs on the refrigerator and the microwave because the warranty was still in effect when the appliance failed.
