I paid off the balance of my account in sept 2009, I actually overpaid the account by 47 cents. The card company closed my account but refused to refund the overpayment because it was less than one dollar. If I had owed that amount and not made the minimum payment I would have been charged $35.00 per month each month the balance remained. When I call to inquire I am told I can use the amount towards future purchases, however since they closed my account I obviously can not make future purchases.
