Pre paid for a one night stay through Expedia.com. Upon checking in I was asked for a credit card to cover "incidentals/ damage". Since our checking account balance was low I asked the clerk twice about being either double charged for the room, or stating tha if there were any additional charges or fees I would pay them in cash. The clerk informed me both times I asked that as long as there was no damage, no charges would be accrued against my debit card.
