I worked for Dollar General for over two years. All I wanted was to work part-time, a few hours a week to get out of the house. To make things short I ended up working full time and becoming Asst. Mgr in 6 months! I really enjoyed working there, up until the last six months. My mother became sick (lives in Germany) so I needed to go back there a few times in the last six months, DG was very understanding and let me go, with unpaid vacation and letting me return to my job when I came back (VERY THANKFULL!!!).
