My daughter was admitted with a diagnosis of bipolar disorder. I was told the admission would take 1 hr then I would have to leave. She was very scared and needed to talk to her family. She was not allowed contact with the outside world for the first 72 hrs. After that she only had 10 mins of phone time a day.
