Contingent Network Services contracted me to replace some commercial electronic equipment. When I got to the job site I could not find the exact serial number specified, so a staff member from Contingent ordered me to replace a different unit. So I spent the day crawling around on the floor replacing the unit as instructed. However, Contingent later refused to pay me for the job, claiming that I replaced the wrong unit.
