I paid off a loan through Santander in Feb 2011. I bought a new car through Santander around the same time. Despite having made a full payoff Santatnder withdrew another auto payment from my account. When I spoke to the customer service reps they shared it was my fault for not closing the account with my bank. Despite it making no sense I went to my bank and they indicated it was Santander's issue!. I submitted a formal request for refund and bank documents!. March passes without result:.
