I'm a small business owner. I opened my statement today, 12/22/08 and saw that my finance charge jumped from 9.99 % to 27.18%. I called twice and received the same memorized answer. You have never been late, credit good but based on the likleyhood of default, after a review this is the best offer they have. They will not lower the rate even when I said that I would look for another company. I asked if there was some one I could talk to about this and was told "you are".
