I purchased a Blackberry in February, 2009 and proceeded to send in my old ATT Tilt cell phone in to Market Velocity for Blackberry's Trade-up Program. I sent in the phone, case and charger and complied with all the rules. Once the phone was received by Market Velocity, they informed me that the phone was "dead". I responded that the battery was probably dead and all they had to do was plug it in with the enclosed charger and see that the phone is fine.
