I am new to Direct TV and really wish I had found this site before getting sucked into the Direct TV scam. The salesman at Sam's Club told me that the national average for outage is less than 6 minutes a year, because I had heard that satellite service was often effected by weather. I have had it for 14 days and in that time half the shows I set up to be recorded by the dvr has failed to record because the satellite lost service.
