I was fired for being on my cellphone by a regional manager named Steve. He claims he caught me on my phone during on of his very rare visits. He told the store manager to fire me without so much as a warning. What they didn't know and didn't even ask about was the fact that I was checking on my wife who has a mental illness and was very depressed because she had been home alone all day.
