During the past school year, Ovid-Elsie Area Schools had the highest MEAP scores of any of the school districts in the Owosso Argus-Press coverage area. Leonard Elementary has been commended three times in the past two school years by the Michigan Department of Education as a “Beating the Odds!” School of Excellence. In 2011, Leonard Elementary was one of only 20 schools in the entire state to receive this recognition!
