Social Circles is a membership program that hosts events for singles. I had signed up for an 18 month membership, did not find the activities all that appealing for the most part and so let the membership lapse. Unfortunately for me, the plan has an automatic renewal clause that charges a $79-month fee once the initial membership had expired, without any prior notice or request for confirmation.
