Made a large deposit on what was supposed to be my families dream home in April of 2004, which turned out to be a nightmare My loan company backed out of the contract at signing and the builder (Stanley Martin) refused to go any farther or by law, give me another chance to find another lender. And in doing so, they are holding my deposit hostage for reasons beyond any law understanding. They are refusing to bargain with anything, sensible or ethical.
