A simple word to describe my experience with harpernoelphotography would be "nightmare". I could never seem to reach them when I needed to, even though I was obviously paying them well. When they finally decided to get in touch, they were rude and eager to end the conversation. Perhaps some small measure of success have gone to its head for this company to behaved in a manner I never would have expected. It seems like I had to chase for an answer for every little question I need clarifications to. Every tiny request had an extra charge to it, even though it wouldn't have cost them any time and money at all. The photos looked to be edited hastily and unprofessionally. I regretted not checking market rates before engaging the photography services of Platt. When it became clear to me that I was paying way more than others, I politely requested for a refund since there was no contract binding my payment. It would have been fine even if the refund wasn't in full. Instead, I was denied any refund at all and I believe he has no intention on providing the service either. Mieke did not live up to my expectations at all. I had to, on several occasions, advise her on how to adjust the settings on her camera. I can understand if she asked for my opinions once in a while about how a specific photograph should be taken, but if I have to do it all the time then I might as well be doing it myself. Not satisfied with the service. Although he claims to photograph in 'creative' and 'unique' ways, my interpretation of what he did for me was just 'lazy' and not at all worth the time and money I committed to engaging his services. The quality of the photos can only be, at best, described as on par with amateurs. I had no idea that something so straightforward could become a mess when dealing with a amateur business. Scheduled a shoot with Salima Studios only for them to get the dates wrong and then had the audacity to blame it on us. They also added a re-scheduling fee which I reluctantly paid for in an attempt to keep our relationship pleasant.
