I talked to these people in October about my outstanding debt with the IRS and the State of California Franchise Tax board. In our discussions they were adamant that they would be able to significantly reduce the amount owed. They would also be able to stop the current garnishing of my paycheck by the state. I paid them up front, which was a major mistake, as 6 months later, they accomplished nothing. They continually asked for more money, claiming that my 'retainer' was empty.
