I have been an American Express cardholder for over 11 years. Or I should say I WAS a American Express cardholder for 11 years. This company is really crossing into a gray area with their ethics. Even though they send the statements out every 30 days, I was just charged 2 late fees of $39.00 within 15 days of each other. They refused to drop just one of the late fees, so I cancelled my card. I have also heard of them lowering people credit lines, applying your payment a day after the due date, and canceling people's credit cards without fair warning. AMEX cardholders should BEWARE!
