I got a HMS warranty when I purchased my home. The peace of mind that came with the warranty was nice the service when I actually had a claim was not. My refrigerator went out, so I contacted HMS and they said that it was covered and gave me a number of a repairman to contact. The only repairman in our area was booked for the next 8 days. When he finally showed up he quickly diagnosed the problem and based on the age of the fridge he recommended it be replaced and took the $100 deductible. HMS disagreed and had him order a part.
