U.S. Travel
Kathryn Young April 7, 2011
I just rec'd an unsolicited (junk) fax - which is illegal - from U.S. Travel Association, who state that they are a member of the American Society of Travel Agents. I called the number and asked the name of the business. The woman who answered said, "Cancun Travel". I asked for a fax number and she hung up on me. I called back and got a man. I asked the name of the business and he said "U.S. Travel" I asked for the website and he said they don't have one. I said, "most people have a website." He said... read full review »

Cigna Insurance Long Term Disability
Kathryn Young March 17, 2011
Years of paying for insurance in case of disability. Cigna paid the short term disability but when it turned into long-term, they terminated the long-term at the first follow up. Even though Social Security found permanent disability, CIGNA knows better and terminated payments. Reason? The mental health clinician used the term stable in her confidential medical records (stable in this case meant condition quit deteriorating when employment stopped) and a note indicating 8 hours of volunteering A MONTH! Wow, ability to volunteer 4 hours for two days of the month means able to work 320+ hours/month. Smart folks there at Cigna. read full review »

Beltone Hearing Aids
Kathryn Young March 3, 2011
Beltone puts out this full page ad in the newspaper day after day after day saying they want to "field test a remarkable new hearing instrument in the area..." It's only a sales pitch. They aren't "testing" anything. They are SELLING a very very expensive product and using technicians, not doctors or medical folks, to sell the products. You're talking $5, 000 for both ears and the technology - more if you want a warranty! I HATE scams and false advertising! read full review »

Golden Rule Insurance Company
Kathryn Young October 19, 2010
If you have a choice, do not use Golden Rule - a division or subsidiary or product or whatever of United Healthcare. I'm a provider and I will not take your insurance if you have Golden Rule - they authorize payments with one client and deny with another. I'm a contracted provider with United Healthcare but Golden Rules says I'm not with them - a problem I have with no other insurance provider. They won't pay for covered services other providers pay for. They decide they won't pay 2 procedure codes in the same day -... read full review »
