Beginning 11/15/08 until at least 12/6/08 Godaddy has been advertising on their web site "$6.99 for domain transfers" which includes a "Free 1 year extension." This means that in addition to the 1 year of domain registration $6.99 you should get a FREE 1 year extension or 2 years for $6.99, but when I called their "Transfer Concierge" I got the run around.
