I applied for the type of loan they advertise on the internet and television for interest only, low payments on large mortgages. I work in a loan department, so I know what questions to ask, but they were not honest with me. The loan officer asked for a $400 lock in fee, that would be credited back into the settlement fees at the close of the loan.
