Since I began using Zone Alarm Security Suite, I have had frequent occasions when the Zone Alarm vsmon.exe process completely takes over the CPU and all other work becomes impossible for long stretches of time. I have followed all the advice on the Zone Alarm site for optimizing settings and so on, but to no avail. This is happening even when Zone Alarm is *not* scanning for viruses or the like.
