A job for a Teaching Assistant was posted with a starting salary of $32, 000 (a bit less than double what I am making now). Not surprisingly, the school was listed as private and "confidential" and the incentives (beyond salary) were enticing. With only a high school education, the applicants were told they would be able to make lesson plans and teach! There were MANY red flags but the most blatant were the follow-up questions concerning continuing education.
