This business is an auction house. Items for sale are displayed for inspection prior to the auction. However, when a particular item I was interested was placed up on the podeum for sale, before the bidding could begin the owner stopped the auctioneer and stated that this item was "too good" to sell tonight and would be available for the auction the next week when they were featuring mostly antiques instead of the usual consignment items, household goods, furniture and tools.
