Mellon Bank informed me of a security breach but gave me free enrollment in Tri[;eAdvantage credit monitoring. I signed up and had to provide many levls of personal information (ssn, dob, mothers maiden name). Only then, to find that you must first pay to get your credit reports pulled (which everyone knows is free via annualcreditreport.com). I did not pay for this but kept my free monitoring thinking it might be something i didnt realize.
