In December 2008, Sears sold me a protection Agreement for my GE refrigerator. The example that the salesperson used that if a part like my compressor failed, I would be covered. I purchased the agreement. Six months later (June 2009), the refrigerator was not cooling and I called service. I was surprised to hear that it is the compressor that has gone bad and the agreement covers up to $500 and the part if $640.
