I received a "special assessment" notice in the mail yesterday (6/7/09) from Raintree Vacation Club. - This is 50% through the calendar year for which my 2009 assessment (paid before 1/20/2009) has been in effect. I have just reviewed my paperwork from time of purchase and it contains absolutely no information/clauses on special assessments. The operation of this timeshare company has been suboptimal to say the least. The time shares are located in Mexico, (Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos and Acapulco).
