We too received the infamous special assessment. I have emailed Raintree and received a response indicating that it is their "fiduciary duty" to maintain the properties for their members, hence the need for the special assessment. HA! I have filed a complaint with the Houston BBB and sent an email to Doug Bech at FrontierOil. Haven't contacted the Texas Attorney General office, but that is next on my list!
