I paid for my car $30K. It was stolen in 2 months after I bought it and Allstate paid only $25K claiming that the value of the car had dropped. The police report clearly stated that the car was stolen. The thieves were not apprehended but I was not a police suspect. Despite this fact, the Allstate investigators tortured me for 6 weeks and directly accused me of stealing my own car.
