I contacted them to close my account, because I would not accept the increase in interest rates. They said OK. I just got my statement, and the rate was increased. I called, they said I used the card to make a purchase, so the rate was increased. The purchase was from the US mint. This was done before I closed the account. The mint had some delays in shipping, so the transaction was completed after I closed the account. I though I had given the mint a new CC #, but I did not.
