For 11 months, I have had a non-working, very expensive, trash compactor. I called the appliance store where I bought it several months ago and GE told them that the part (the actual motor that was DOA) is on "national back order." I finally called GE myself and after being transferred all over the place and sitting on hold for many minutes was told that they could not help me and that I needed to call a "local sales rep."
