I purchased a notebook PC in 01/07 that came with a 1 year factory warranty. Close to the end of my factory (01/08) warranty, I was advised by an HP associate my options on purchasing a 1 yr or 2 yr extended warranty. I was told that the 1 year warranty did not include accidental coverage (water spills, dropping and breaking the notebook etc.) but the 2 year warranty did. So I chose to purchase the 2 year warranty which came to a total of $280.17. I used my warranty coverage once within the first year and HP had to send me a brand new notebook... read full review »
