Haven America was created by Gregory Morris and Susan Havens-Morris—two designers who met while attending The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. After college they married, raised two children and both enjoyed 25 years in advertising. They moved to North Carolina in 2010 to purchase and renovate a historic home. While there, they created their first line of wall art under the name Slippin’ Southern on Etsy with a few Southern word signs and some cut-out letters.
