Think Twice before signing up. Many people have problems with alcohol/drug addiction and seek help. But if you need need help, think twice before entering Big Island Recovery. I felt unsafe and the program had no direction. There was no yoga, no healing, no rest, no one-on-one counseling. The website is misleading. My problem made me vulnerable and I needed one on one attention, counseling, and a place to heal. BIR was the opposite. I felt unsafe and like I was in a military camp.
