Bought a Kenmore Miser 9 water heater in August of 2007, 9 year warranty on the water heater. The 1 year parts and labor warranty has expired but the other 8 years, parts are still free according to the warranty agreement on the back of the unit manual. Try to collect on that. Plus, when we purchased the water heater and installation, it was incorrectly installed and as it was a gas water heater put us at risk because we had a gas leak.
