I purchased A TV back in 2003. A 60" Hitachi LCD projection. My warranty lasted 5 years. It was up in December 08. During my coverage I had 3 light engines go out. The first time it took them a month to replace it. The second time it took them a few months, the third time it took them over 6 months to finally come and replace it blaming it on parts availability.
