In 2008, American General bought my account for over $ 45, 000/15 years from another financial institution. Immediately, I noticed a significant decreasement of my credit score due to the fact that it was reported as a new loan and mainly because they report not the loan balance, which is approx. $41, 000 as of today, but the balance with ALL of the interest added for the remaining of 13 years!!! which throws me to an astronomic $92, 000.
